Apple suggest this product cannot be put in the water, but there are some foreign user test will it into the water, and to attempt to multiple water environment, including: 2 inches deep pool soak for 30 minutes, 1 feet soaked in water for 1 hour, 1 foot deep in the hot tub to soak for 30 minutes.

After that, the product can still be used normally. The tester dissolves it, and you can see that the internal components are sealed with epoxy resins to prevent liquids from entering.

Even if it it waterproof，it doesnt mean  you can use it under water freely .
