According to a report by the South Korean media ETnews recently, Huawei and domestic manufacturer BOE are working together to develop a collapsible smartphone with a screen size of 8 inches. Although Samsung publicly stated that the production of collapsible mobile phones is mature, Huawei aims to launch in November this year and beat Samsung in the starting time.
In addition, ETnews stated in the report that BOE may currently be working on up to four foldable handsets jointly developed with customers. Besides Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO or other domestic manufacturers may be among them. In addition, both Xiaomi and OPPO have applied for patents on foldable display devices.
