In the rapid development of smart phones, mobile phone screens have gradually become the focus of innovation for mobile phone manufacturers. From large screens, curved screens, full screens to folding screens, mobile phone manufacturers have been pursuing better mobile phone design solutions. Recently, the World Intellectual Property Organization announced a Huawei patent for a foldable screen mobile phone.
According to media reports, Huawei’s patent for this folding mobile phone can be folded like a book. Unlike ZTE's previously announced foldable cell phone Axon M (starting at 3888 yuan), Huawei patented a single display panel, which requires a flexible screen material for folding. The patent was submitted to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) as early as September last year and was formally announced to the public.

According to a report by CNET in October last year, Huawei’s terminal CEO Yu Chengdong disclosed in an interview after the release of the Mate 10 international edition that Huawei has already built a prototype of a folding screen mobile phone, which is expected to be available as early as 2018. At present, in addition to Huawei, Samsung, LG, and OPPO already have patents on folding screen technology. When will a mobile phone equipped with this patented technology be officially launched? Let's wait and see.
